At Natural Synergy Day Spa, we take pride in using only the highest quality natural products in our treatments. For this reason we offer treatments with Equavie Organic and Eco Friendly Skin Care, Zoya Nail Products, and Gehwol Foot Care Products.
WHY NOT USE COMMERCIALLY MADE PRODUCTS?
We have many ethical, environmental and physical reasons for not choosing to use commercially-made skin and body care products. Most commercially-made products are oil-in-water emulsions stabilized with a mixture of petrochemicals, chemical emulsifiers and preservatives. Though they feel light on application, these water-based products not only emulsify and absorb the natural protective oils from the skin-surface, they leave no trace of the skin's own nourishing and protective oils. This creates drier skin and a further dependency on the products. Chemical preservatives are also used in most cosmetic products to extend the product's shelf life; however, many such preservatives are skin irritants. Commonly used preservatives in commercially-made products include formaldehyde, methylisothiazolinones and DMDM hydantonin.
WHY USE NATURAL PRODUCTS?
Natural products, on the other hand, rely on the self-preserving properties of natural ingredients such as grapefruit seed extract, Vitamin E, honey and lemon. Despite a shorter shelf life compared to most commercially, chemical-based products, you will benefit from the skin nourishing qualities of these natural ingredients as well as the freshness of the products. By using naturally produced skin care products, you are eliminating risks to your health, and gaining all of the benefits to your appearance that nature provides.
